CENTLEC REDUNDANT ASSETS UNDER THE DIGITAL HAMMER

The electricity supplier, Centlec, is currently in the process of disposing large quantities of redundant assets, used material and vehicles. The items to be sold is at the Centlec depots in Bloemfontein and Botshabelo, although the auction is run online.
“Huge amounts of used meter boxes, transformers, poles, scrap and lamp fittings are under the lots currently receiving online bids”, says Rudi Herbst, Managing Director of SA Auction Group. Vehicles under the hammer include a number of Nissan and Hino flat deck trucks with sky jack cranes as well as Toyota, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Mazda LDV’s.
“The online auction allows bidders from anywhere in the country to bid on these redundant assets”, says Herbst. He adds that bidders will be able to visit the Bloemfontein depot on 12 May to view the redundant assets and also make use of the online facility to place bids from the Centlec premises.
